TKAM: Week 2: Question C

Why would a person try to win something he knows he will lose?  What are other examples?  (page 101)

  1. I think that someone would try to win something eventhough they would loos it because it is the principle of the matter... I have come to this conclusion because its like winning a bet against a friend and you win, if you win weather your betting money, food, etc. it will eventually be lost, weather you spend the money or eat the food it will eventually be gone.

  3. Sometimes when people know they are going to lose they still want to stand for their point. Most of the time when I do it I try to persuade or try and get someone to give in for what I want. People want to get their point down even though they know they are going to lose. this is my example. if a man killed someone and the people of the town know that that person did it, he will still stand up for himself.

    1. Yes I agree with James. Sometimes people don't like to say they are wrong so like James said, they will still stand for their point. I can see in his example how people will stand up for themselves and what they think even if they will lose.
